Valerie Swanson Grant
After majoring in art and psychology at Bard College, New York, and attending Montserrat School of Art, I discovered a connection to the essence of all things, Mother Nature’s creations. This inspired and led me to transform my subject matter into an imaginary journey that my audience can travel through with me and discover new happenings along the way.
I’ve always been a free-spirited artist/photographer, opening my first studio in Kennebunkport, Maine, and exhibiting extensively throughout the United States, but upon the death of my parents I chose to take over the family business. After 18 years of successfully running the company that served the textile industry for fifty-three years, I sold it to my son and am now once again enjoying my true love of creating, painting, and photography.
My home today is St Pete, FL. My studio is located in the Kenwood Historic District of St Pete FL at 830 32nd St N St Pete FL, 33713
